What is Machine Learning

Machine learning is a branch of artificial intelligence (AI) that enables computers to learn from data and improve their performance without being explicitly programmed for every task. Instead of following a fixed set of instructions, machine learning systems analyze large amounts of data to identify patterns and relationships.

These patterns help the system make predictions, recognize objects, classify information, or support decision-making when it encounters new data.

Main types of machine learning

• - Supervised learning: The model learns from labeled examples (e.g., pictures labeled "cat" or "dog").
• - Unsupervised learning: The model discovers patterns or groups in unlabeled data (e.g., customer segmentation).
• - Reinforcement learning: An agent learns by interacting with an environment and receiving rewards or penalties (e.g., game-playing AI or robot navigation).
